Discipleship Groups
We understand discipleship as all the means at our disposal that bring us into a deeper relationship with Jesus. So, it is, more than directed Christian Education. Discipleship in this fuller sense will include worship, mission and all forms of ministry. However here in this section we will highlight those classes and small groups which are about intentional fellowship and study for discipleship.
Women of the Word
Women of the Word, as the name implies, is a study group dedicated to women's journeys. We are women with open hearts and open minds of all ages. We do both bible and topical studies that are relevant to our lives. We are led, but not lectured. We engage in lively discussion where we agree that we do not all have to agree. We learn from each other, we challenge each other, we love and support each other. Please come join the conversation.
We are currently studying King David in 1 and 2 Samuel.

Faithful Followers
not meeting At This Time
Faithful Followers is a Sunday morning adult study group. We do direct bible study as well as book studies relative to our Christian lives. We encourage question and conversation as we challenge ourselves and each other to grow in our faith journeys.
We meet Sundays at 8:45 AM, Wesley House.
Going Deeper
Going Deeper is the newest of our Sunday morning small groups. We gather in the sanctuary at 8:45. This group is intended to be a place of discussion around the "sermon" from the previous Sunday. We hope it is an opportunity to ask questions and press ourselves to go deeper in our understanding. In addition we may seek to better understand how the particular historic text speaks to us in our own time and place.
Weekday Study Groups
We do not believe that Sunday morning groups and worship are sufficient for most of us to be fully fed and nourished spiritually each week. We therefore offer other opportunities regularly during the week and at special times throughout the year.
Men's Bible Study
The men's bible study meets each Tuesday at 8:00 AM. The men are focused on the study of scripture as it relates to their lives and experience. The class is marked by lively discussion about how the text intersects with life. The study is open to the community beyond our membership. All visitors are welcome. The class is facilitated by our pastor, Rev. Brian Wharton.
